D.A.A.T.T.C., Karimnagar organised “Sensitization programme on IIDS-Annapurna Krishi Prasara Seva (AKPS) on 25-11-2020 at Vemulawada of Rajanna Sircilla District

D.A.A.T.T. Centre, Karimnagar has organized Sensitization Programme on IIDS-Annapurna Krishi Prasara Seva (AKPS) at Vemulawada, Rajanna Sircilla District. Sri. K. Shekar Coordinator, DAATTC, Karimnagar has explained the advantages of two-way communication between the farmers and experts for getting timely advices for which Prof. Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University and Digital India together has initiated Interactive Information Dissemination System (IIDS)-AKPS a mutual platform for communicating information in agricultural & allied enterprises by using mobile devices. Emphasized the extension staff & farmers to get subscribe PJTSAU You Tube channel for latest updates in agriculture technologies. Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy, Scientist (ToT) said that farmers can contact directly with the Toll free number 1800 425 3141 for obtaining information on activities related to Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal husbandry and fisheries. The toll free number can be accessed by the registered farmers under this center. Sri. P. Sailu, Research Associate, IIDS-AKPS Project explained the procedure for registering the farmers in AKPS and how to use AKPS mobile application also given a demo on how to download, how to raise queries in app by text or voice or photograph or video mode. Sri. Bhaskar, Assistant Director of Agriculture,Vemulawada, Rajanna Sircilla Districthas explained about the use of digital platforms in agriculture. He informed all the participants to get subscribe the PJTSAU- YouTube channel and also insisted the department staff to create awareness on PJTSAU-YouTube channel and IIDS-AKPS service among the farmers. Farmers and extension staff of the department were participated in this programme to sensitize the farming community.
