DAATTC, Tornala along with Department of Agriculture, Siddipet organized a training programme on crop diversification in Yasangi on 30.09.2021 at Rythuvedika, Thimmapur and Mittapally village, Jagdevpur & Siddipet Rural Mandals, Siddipet district. The programme was chaired by Sri. P. Shravan Kumar (DAO, Siddipet), briefed about the crop diversification and integrated crop management technologies. Sri. J. Vijay, Coordinator, DAATTC, Tornala presented importance of crop diversification and also stressed more on zero tillage maize and sunflower in rice-fallows; after tillage green gram and black gram in rice-fallows and while bengal gram, green gram, blackgram, groundnut, sunflower, safflower, sesamum as irrigated dry crops. He encouraged the farmers for cultivation of oil seeds and pulses. Smt. Ch. Pallavi, Scientist discussed on varieties available at PJTSAU and pest and disease management in current crops like paddy, maize and cotton. In this programme Parasuram Reddy & Srinivas Rao, MAOs, & AEOs, innovative farmers, gram sarpanch, RSS members and 45 & 25 members of the farmers Jagdevpur & Siddipet Rural Mandals respectively were participated.
