One day “Workshop Programme on International Women’s Day, 2022 - Empowering women farmers with skill and knowledge” was organized and conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kampasagar on 08.03.2022. Following topics were covered in meeting

- Dr. T. Bharath, SMS (Crop Production) invited the speakers on to the dias and briefly explained the importance of celebration of International Women’s Day.
- Dr. M. Shankaraiah, Programme Coordinator& Head, KVK, Kampasagar briefly explained about the event of International Women’s Day and importance of Women farmers in agriculture and reminded that nowadays there is no sector without women involvement.
- Smt. T. Himabindu, SMS (Horticulture) spoke on importance gender equality and equal opportunities for women in all sectors and appreciated the women working in KVK, Kampasagar for their services.
- Smt. S. Pallavi, SMS (Extension) reminded that everyday should be celebrated as International Women’s Day for their efforts in every sector. Also suggested that women should be given every opportunity for better decision making and career selection.
- Dr. T. Bharath, SMS (Crop Production) briefed about celebration of International Women’s Day and quoted that there is no farming without women. Shared facts about successful women in the country and requested to take inspiration from them.
- Sri. B. Bhavya, Programme Assistant (Lab), also expressed her thoughts of providing education and equal opportunities for girl child.
- Smt. M. Mallika, Stenographer, KVK, Kampasagar also shared her personal experience of struggles that she faced as women and thanked her family for their support in achieving her goals.
- Women farmers from the gathering also shared their experiences and felt happy for recognizing their daily work. Suggested government to establish women based agricultural industrial for their daily income.
- Selected Women farmers from near by villages were felicitated for their work in their respective areas.
