Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, Mancherial District has organized Training programme and distribution of nutri vegetable kitchen garden seeds under SCSP component on 10th Aug, 2021 at Gampalapalli village, Tandoor mandal of Mancherial District. In this programme, Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Senior Scientist & Head (Programme Coordinator) has addressed the farmers about the importance of integrated farming and its opportunity of implication in rural villages with efficient use of natural resources. He added different IPM practices to protect the paddy and cotton crops from different pest-disease infestation. Further, explained the objectives of Jal Shakti Abhiyan and different water saving methods. Dr. Shiva Krishna Kota, SMS (Agril. Extension) educated the farmers on recent approaches on E-marketing in agriculture and allied sectors and explained about importance of farmers producer organisations in modern agriculture phenomenon. Dr. I. Thirupathi, SMS (Crop Production) explained about nutrient management in major crops and suggested different weed management practices to control the weeds efficiently in paddy and cotton and also suggested to apply the 2% urea or DAP to with stand the crops against water stress or prolonged dry spells. Dr. B. Sathish Kumar SMS (Agrometeorology) addressed the farmers about present rainfall status and rainfall forecast in the Mancherial district, addressed the farmers on the objectives of district agromet unit. He further explained about the agromet advisory services and its utilization in day to day agriculture management practices. Lastly, under the SCSP component, a total of 58 scheduled caste farmers were distributed with Nutri Vegetable Kitchen Garden seeds. Sri Pochaiah, Sarpanch, Ganapthy, RBS Coordinator, 58 (45-Male and 13- Female) number of farmers were participated.
