Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem conducted a Skill training programme for tribal youth on “Production of Organic fertilizers and Pesticides” on 29-12-2020

KVK, Bhadradri Kothagudem has conducted a Skill training on " Production of Organic fertilizers and Pesticides" to Tribal youth under TSP 2020-21 at Lachapuram village, Dammapeta Mandal, Bhadradri Kothgudem District on 29.12.2020. Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma, Programme Coordinator has explained growing demand for organic production and organic products in the urban areas and also self-employment opportunities for youth in production of organic inputs like vermicompost, waste decomposer etc. Dr. R.Vishwatej, SMS (Extension) has demonstrated vermibed construction, vermicomposting process, maintenance of vermibeds. He also elaborated on the uses of low cost Mobile vermi units for small scale vermicomposting to the participants. B. Shiva, SMS (Horticulture) spoken about the use of waste decomposer in organic vegetable crops and also explained about PUSA decomposer capsule developed by IARI for Agriculture waste management. A total of 32 rural youth attended the programme along with local public representatives, department officials and progressive organic farmers.
