KVK, Malyal organized Training Programme on “Kitchen/ Nutrition Gardening” to Extension Functionaries on 10-03-2022

Training Programme on “Kitchen/ Nutrition Gardening” to Extension Functionaries was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal at Rythu Vedika, Bayyaram on 10-03-2022. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal requested the participants to promote organic vegetables at anganwadi centres in their respective villages on large scale and reiterated that farmers should grow all the required vegetables in their farm or backyard for balanced and diversified nutrition and also become self sufficient to meet the vegetable requirement of their families. Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) explained about kitchen gardening, terrace gardening and balanced diet through Powerpoint presentation. He highlighted the importance of protective food in our diet, minor millets, growing of vegetables in backyard to ensure nutritional security. 30 anganwadi teachers from Bayyaram cluster participated in the programme.
