Rythu Nestham Live Programme [Episode-12] conducted on “Management practices in Vanakalam Paddy” and Maize on 18-6-2024

Rythu Nestam live programme conducted at Electronic Wing Studio, PJTSAU, Hyderabad on 18-6-2024 from 10 AM – 11.15 AM with scientists from Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) and officials from department of agriculture along with farmers from 110 Rythu Vedika’s of Telangana. Dr. B.Gopi IAS Director of Agriculture presided over the programme.At the outset two videos one on PJTSAU YouTube channel subscription and another on good management practices of Telanaganasona (RNR 15048) were played, and lecture on Kharif Rice Cultivation practices dealt by Dr. L. Krishna, Prl. Scientist (Pl. Breeding), Rice Research Centre, Rajendranagar. Invitee guest a woman farmer Smt. K. Lavanya Reddy from Karuvanga a remote village of Nagarkurnool district who achieved success in Natural farming moving away from Chemical Farming shared her inspirational success. Later in the programme Dr.M.Nagesh Kumar, Prl. Scientist (Maize), Maize Research Station, Rajendranagar gave a presentation on Kharif Maize and Millets cultivation followed by a progressive farmer Sri G. Janardhan, Choutkur V & M, Sanga Reddy who shared his experiences in cultivating high yielding rice varieties. At the conclusion queries and reflections were made by the farmers participating live rom RVs. The programme was attended by Dr.M.Sreenivasulu, Coordinator, Scientists of Electronic Wing , Sri Singa Reddy DDA. About 6000 farmers and department officials form Agriculture and allied sectors at 110 Rythu Vedikas across the state.
